What the letter asks Hawaii to do
- Enforce Hawaii's firearm industry responsibility law, and give the attorney general the resources to use it.
- Require that handguns sold in Hawaii include technology that keeps them from firing in the hands of a child or any other unauthorized user, as that technology becomes available.
- Enforce Hawaii's secure storage law, and fund free gun locks and safes for every family that needs one.
- To our members of Congress: repeal the federal Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which gives the gun industry an immunity from lawsuits that no other industry enjoys.
