Indiana Memorial Wall

Remember • Honor • End gun violence

Indiana · Children under 18 · In memoriam

The children of Indiana whose lives were taken by gunfire, by guns left unsecured and laws left unwritten. We carve their names here, we speak them every month to the people elected to protect them, and we keep counting until the count stops rising.

Data and research

Indiana law today

Shields gun manufacturers and sellers from lawsuits other businesses can face (Ind. Code §§ 34-12-3-3, 34-12-3-4).
No child access prevention law: an adult who leaves a loaded gun where a child finds it faces no specific penalty.
Background checks only at licensed dealers. Private sales, including many at gun shows and online, need none.
An extreme risk (red flag) law, but only police can ask a judge for an order.
